This book was really exciting, and invoked many expressions and emotions from me. I cried, I cheered and I was even able to laugh in some episodes. These types of novels help people to stop and realize just how much some people really go through in life. When I was a teen, we used to have magazines like "Jive" that introduced us to situations that teens ended up in because they didn't listen to their parents. This sex slave stuff is real and happening in various communities everyday. People need to be aware. This book of short stories is profound! While reading, there were times I wondered how the author was able to think of and write in detail acts of pain expressed on each page. It opened my eyes that the malicious acts are apart of some peoples everyday life. I cried, became angry, felt sad, even closed the book a few times because the language and details became too much to bear. But, I couldn't stop there...I had to know how the stories ended. Each story made me even more thankful that I have not experienced such abuse and I prayed for the souls that have and continue to experience living in such away. Buy and read this book, you will not regret it...this is a testimony of victims that have been violated and experienced pain and how they overcome it.
This book was hard to read it will touch your heart and if you've ever indured any kind of abuse it just might help you to begin to heal. I wish I could write my story.
This is one of those books you won't be able to put down until you've read it all.
